Innovations Award 2008
In the justification given by the jury of the Karl Ritter von Ghega-Innovations award 2008 for the award given in the category „Organisation and Marketing innovation“ for the floor identification box, it was said: it has been achieved for the first time to develop a semi-active RFID-Chip with UHF 868 MHz frequency including a compressed temperature and humidity sensors along with algorithm intended for measuring wood moisture. The energy is provided from a built-in lithium battery with a lifespan, according to accumulation periods and data interrogation frequency, up to 10 years. The lifespan of the battery can be increased according to customer requirements.
